Scrawl Place Launches “Writer In Sites,” a Book Series Exploring Place

  • The “Writer In Sites” series asks contemporary authors to visit new and familiar places.

  • Each book is a brief, personal guide and companion that encourages readers to experience destinations from a creative point of view.

  • Writer In Sites is presented by Scrawl Place

SPOKANE, Wash. — Writer in Sites is a new series that lives somewhere between a travel guide, a notebook, and a collection of personal reflections. Each book follows a writer spending time in a specific place—often a museum, sometimes a city, sometimes a single site—and writing their way through it.

These aren’t exhaustive guides or definitive takes. They’re subjective, idiosyncratic, and intentionally incomplete. The idea is to show you how one writer noticed, wandered, lingered, and responded—and to invite you to do the same.

You can read a Writer in Sites book at home, use it as a companion if you visit the place yourself, or let it nudge you toward your own version of the project somewhere closer to home. They’re meant to be read, carried, marked up, and responded to with your own writing.

More soon, including the first releases and how you can get involved.

Thanks for reading—and for paying attention to places with me.
